Is there a feeling that you are not valued because of your background or the colour of your skin, and do you have evidence of this? Do you not only have a feeling, but also evidence that you’re being deprived of the power to interpret, or that you’re constantly being patronised about what you should be doing? If so, speak up, provide clarity and move on. Remember, people believe what they want to believe. You can’t change people. But you can change the people around you.
