Dayog Kabore Work as Scholar

As a political scientist, Dayog Kabore was engaged as a research fellow and research assistant at the Chair for International Relations at the Helmut-Schmidt-University in Hamburg Germany from October 2016 to March 2018. In this role, he contributed to the establishment of the scientific project entitled “Regional Security Governance in West Africa and the Support of German Foreign Policy”.

Before he terminated his collaboration with his doctoral supervisor and thus also his chair due to differing ideas of appropriate behaviour and future prospects, Dayog Kabore worked on his doctoral thesis, which focused on the exploration of the possibilities and potential of governance systems at the regional level to create human security in West Africa by implementing economic policy measures and local traditional conflict resolution mechanisms.

Dayog Kabore as Applied Researcher

As a scientist, Dayog Kabore does not merely develop theories and concepts that are subsequently filed away and forgotten. Instead, he focuses on applied scientific theory and concept building to address pressing social challenges. For example, as an applied scientist, Dayog Kabore developed the normative concept of MOA madeof.africa®. From the perspective of affected Africans and Blacks, MOA madeof.africa® sets standards and guidelines that address the challenges they face in their daily lives as human beings, entrepreneurs or employees in multicultural societies and in a globalised world in motion.

Approach, Methodology, Field Research and Publications

In addition, as part of his research projects, he undertakes research trips to interview affected people and relevant stakeholders. For example, he has conducted research trips to Ghana at Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) or to Nigeria at ECOWAS to conduct case studies. His work has been published in journals such as the renowned ‘Archiv des Völkerrechts’ and presented at conferences.
